“While our stay was fine (hotel is mediocre but clean, front desk staff was nice), we had a horrible post-stay experience. I accidentally left my passport in a drawer in our room, and realized two days later. Positive that I left it there, and taking responsibility for my carelessness, I called the hotel. The person said they did not find it and left it at that, acting as if this was a forgotten pair of socks. I then emailed them, and explained the situation, again taking responsibility for my carelessness but very concerned about my passport getting into the wrong hands. The person who emailed me back also told me that it had not been found and when I followed up to that email about how upset I was about how a forgotten passport could just disappear, they never responded to me. As a (now former) Marriott Bonvoy member who travels internationally for work often, I have stayed in Marriotts in the US, Europe, and Asia, and have never had such a poor, unprofessional experience. I guess my advice to anyone staying here is to be extra diligent about their personal belongings.”
