“Great hospitality, Beautiful vintage rooms & suites, cleanliness is highly considered. A lot of varieties of food in the breakfast. The view of the sea view rooms is wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. I only recommend them to pay more attention to the usage of the elevator by the housekeeping especially during the breakfast hours as this causes some delay to the guests and isn’t nice.”

First, I am American who let her group return to the states from Cairo, and stayed in Egypt alone. I arrived at the Cecil my first day alone in Alexandria and began my adventure. The staff have been the most accommodating and friendly.
Helpful above an beyond. From the front desk staff, to the door men, bar and restaurant staff, even the laundry, have all gone above and beyond their duty to help make my stay more than just a stay in a charming hotel. They have made me completely and utterly welcome.
The food is excellent. The atmosphere is charming and sophisticated. You feel like your are taking a step back in time … everything has been beautifully maintained.
I have extended my stay here in Alexandria in great part because of the staff here, their advice, and their kindness.
To me they, the staff, make the hotel. And they represent the welcoming and beautiful people, and country, that are Egypt.
