“Stayed here for 6 nights with two others. Had the family room, which was really two seperate rooms together opened with the door (one room had king bed and the other had two single beds). Although it did the job well, wasn’t really a true family room by definition.The breakfast here was top notch. You select two dishes on menu with a wide range of Asian and western dishes as well as a drink. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and looked forward to it.The biggest gripe I had with our stay had to do with the pool. We were very much looking forward to it, but upon arrival we were told it was under maintenance and out of use, and instead were told we could use the pool at Park Plaza hotel in Soi 18. It would have gone a long way if they had been more proactive and told us this prior to arrival, say an email informing us of the works in progress. Luckily I was able to enjoy the rooftop pool on the last day, which I was keen on and if only this was available for the duration of our stay. Because of this, unfortunately I had to mark it down.Staff were very helpful in helping us get a taxi multiple times via Line Taxi. The restaurant staff too were very professional.The location was excellent. Easy 10 mins walk to Asok station, plenty of nice, affordable thai massages up the street (highly recommend Araya massage). Unfortunately though it’s next to this German Hofbrauhaus restaurant which gets particularly rowdy on Friday and Saturday nights, but not much the hotel can do.Overall I was very happy with my stay at Akyra and only the pool situation stopped me from giving full marks.”

“Elegí este hotel porque estaba buscando hoteles "verdes" para nuestro viaje a Tailandia. Quiero decir, estamos volando por todo el mundo, lo que en sí mismo es suficiente para tener una conciencia culpable, no quería contribuir más a la contaminación mundial mediante el uso de los conocidos servicios de plástico de un solo uso que se ofrecen básicamente en todos los hoteles. Akyra Sukhumvit afirma en su sitio web que son libres de plástico de un solo uso, y no me decepcionó. Baño, papeleras, desayuno, no se ve plástico. Muy bien hecho, muchachos! Y es una prueba de que, si queremos, ¡podemos lograr el cambio! Pero aparte de los aspectos medioambientales, ¡tuvimos una estancia fabulosa en el hotel! El servicio es excelente (no sabíamos cómo obtener agua caliente en la ducha y notificamos al personal, cuando llegamos al tercer piso en ascensor, alguien ya estaba esperando en nuestra puerta para que le expliquemos), desayuno Es amplio con una gran variedad de platos locales y occidentales. Agregando el bar de la azotea y la maravillosa vista del horizonte encima de todo, al regresar al hotel y tomar una copa, después de un largo día en las concurridas calles de Bangkok, uno solo puede pasar un buen rato. ¡Has hecho felices a dos viajeros!”
