“It's OK, nothing more. Compared to resorts and hotels in Asia and Europe it's not a 5 star resort, a solid 4 IMO. A concrete jungle clearly tailored to the US market with prices to match. Pretty small place and quite noisy. Entertainment was only average. Food was very good in the main buffet restaurant, good in the Asian restaurant and pretty average in the Italian restaurant. Staff very good and friendly but we'd only been here 10 minutes and we're subjected to the sales pitch to take up their tours and car hire. My advice is use a local hire company, half the price and great service. Place needs a makeover, put some greenery around to break up the concrete. Mexico though is fabulous so if you're coming see more than just Playa del Carmen.”

“I LOVED THIS PLACE. previous I have stayed at sun palace. Decided to come back just because the customer service experience. Everyone is so fast and ready to help you with everything. Food is good. Drinks amazing. So many activities. Playground for the little ones, pool. SPECIAL thanks to Ana by the pool she was amazing. Went above and beyond for me and my family. Also want to give thanks to Joel at the bar what a Host. Joel was ready to recommend and prepare anything you wanted. Above and beyond. Thanks playacar definitely coming back.”
