Todo está hecho para gringos: el servicio, los shows, hasta la comida. Nos sentimos un poco incómodos en varios momentos porque nos cambiaban de asiento a nosotros pero no a ellos. También muchos los trataban con bastante más amabilidad a ellos hasta que dábamos propina. Si habían varios que eran amables y atentos pero muchos no. Había bastante gente alcoholizada y vimos demasiadas personas vomitando. Pensábamos que era de diferente ambiente considerando que era un lugar familiar.Los cuartos están un poco fuera de moda y ocupan actualizar sus habitaciones bastante: ni siquiera tienen smart TV o kits para quitarte el maquillaje como otros todo incluidos. La ubicación del hotel está bastante bien y tiene acceso directo a la playa. Igual puedes caminar a un oxxo a un km de ahí si estás buscando medicina o algo similar.No recomiendo el restaurante asiático. Estaba buena la comida pero me termine enfermando ahi y ocupaba ir a la farmacia caminando con fiebre porque los servicios médicos tienen un costo adicional extremo. No se bien a bien que me cayó mal pero dure enferma por dos días.

Es un hotel para alcohólicos. No hay mucho ambiente y las actividades son casi nulas. La variedad de la comida es básicamente "50 variedades de bistec, tortillas y huevo" . El staff limpia tu cuarto cuando quiere. Lo único decente es el bar del lobby porque los demás bares sirven puras aguas locas.

Todo mal. Las habitaciones son incómodas, no hay servicio a la habitación. Pedimos más de 3 veces que limpiaran el cuarto y jamás nos hicieron caso. La comida insípida y con opciones muy limitadas para vegetarianos. Bebidas de baja categoría. En fin. Definitivamente hay mejores opciones para gastar tanto dinero.

Las actividades en el hotel son excelentes, las instalaciones hermosas, la vista al mar maravillosa. Pero es la higiene en las habitaciones no me gustó 24 horas con el pasillo chorreado de una bebida verde que alguien supongo que accidentalmente tiró. Llovió un poco y el agua estuvo encharcada en el pasillo por horas, nadie secó aun teniendo el riesgo de accidentes. Mi habitación tenía un vaso usado en el baño desde que llegamos, tuve que pedir a un empleado que lo retirara. La secadora del cabello del baño tenía embarrada crema desde que llegamos y así estuvo por toda la estancia. El voltage de los enchufes no permitió cargar los celulares al 100% después de tenerlos conectados toda la noche. El papel de baño super delgado y se rompe fácilmente. Lleven sus toallas sanitizantes para limpiar la habitación y su papel de baño para tener una mejor certeza de la higiene de la habitación. No se si volvería a este hotel.

An absolute beautiful place, the service was excellent only a little slower during peak time but it is to be expected. Their buffet was great only lacking in a few choices but really good for the most part. If you book early you cannot beat the price for all inclusive service!! WiFi reaches ALL over the property even on the beach. The Live entertainment was very good and I wish the show times were longer. Warning if you leave the hotel be ready to drive for a while there is nothing of interest close.

Casou-se aqui em agosto de 2018, ficou por uma semana e voltou para outra semana em julho de 2022. Ambas as vezes a estadia foi incrível! Em nossa visita mais recente, deixei cair meu telefone no oceano e a equipe o encontrou na praia para mim no mesmo dia! ! Quão incrível é isso?? O lugar em si é lindo, muito limpo. A equipe é muito atenciosa, bebidas trazidas para nós na praia periodicamente, mas foi definitivamente mais rápido para caminhar até o bar. Acompanhamento de chamadas para o quarto após qualquer solicitação para verificar nossa satisfação. Muito aparente este site foi aceita crianças do site, (a razão pela qual escolhemos este resort). A comida não era a melhor o tempo todo, mas definitivamente há muitas coisas gostosas para comer. Com certeza ficaria novamente!

Ótimo lugar, estava extremamente lotado com muitas crianças da família local. Tenha cuidado com tudo o que você pode beber, eles não medem nada, então ele vai se aproximar de você. Praia foi incrível à direita no resort. Piscina era boa. Comida era boa tudo o que você pode comer buffet foi o melhor. Eu não voltaria em julho para ocupado com os moradores locais e quente como diabos. Sem reclamações 👌

En cuanto a los alimentos en el restaurat general esta la comida buena a secas pero en los restaurantes de especialidades esta muy rica la comida y lo que más me gusto es que no se hace reservacion. Es un maravilloso hotel,pero sin duda estaba mucho mejor antes en 2019, el entretenimiento es deplorable, "los shows" son sólo para los extranjeros y ya no hay disco dentro del hotel, una verdadera lástima. El hotel es cómodo, el servicio una maravilla y la comida 👌pero para el entretenimiento es un NO totalmente. Algo importante también es que el ventilador hacia demasiado ruido y las toallas estánmuy rasposas.

Ahorré por meses para poder pagarle a mis hijas unas vacaciones bonitas, y aquí nos tienen, encerradas a 3 días de haber llegado y todo por la pésima limpieza en la comida, lo peor es que no hay nada cerca y justo por eso se aprovechan con los precios de los médicos y ni se digan de los medicamentos. Me pregunto si el hotel se hará responsable de esto? Me faltan días para salir de aquí y parece una eternidad, ya no queremos comer nada de este lugar. Las almohadas huelen a humor de otras personas, la limpieza del hotel da mucho que desear, muy poco personal para tanta gente. No regreso a este lugar.

Got married here in August 2018, stayed for a week, then came back for another week July 2022. Both times the stay has been amazing! On our most recent visit, i dropped my phone in the ocean and the staff found it on the beach for me the same day!! How amazing is that?? The place itself is beautiful, very clean. Staff is very attentive, drinks brought to us on the beach periodically but was definitely faster to walk to the bar myself. Follow up calls to the room after any request to check on our satisfaction. Very apparent this site was kid friendly from the website, (the reason we chose this resort). The food was not the best all the time, but there are definitely plenty of yummy things to eat. Would definitely stay again!

Great place, was extremely packed with local Family's so lots of children. Be careful about all you can drink, they do not measure at all so it will sneak up on you. Beach was incredible right on resort. Pool was good. Food was good all you can eat buffet was the best. I wouldn't return in July to busy with locals and hot as heck. No complaints 👌

Ficamos aqui 5 dias. Incrível! O serviço é fenomenal. Toda a equipe foi muito atenciosa, prestativa e muito simpática. Tem 4 grandes piscinas e uma área infantil. Tem entretenimento diário e jogos. Há também um bar de esportes para crianças com mesas de sinuca e mesas de pebolim. Os quartos são grandes e super confortáveis, e contam com frigobar com várias garrafas (tequila, vodka, etc) e uma geladeira cheia de garrafas de água, refrigerantes e cerveja. Definitivamente recomendo!

Alimentos deliciosos, limpios y para todos los gustos. Albercas increíbles y todas las instalaciones siempre en constante limpieza y mantenimiento.La playa es limpia y olas muy tranquilas; ideal para niños y aquellos que no saben nadar.Todas las actividades increíbles y excelentes shows por las noches.Hay suficiente para entretener a los niños durante el día, pero en la noche hace falta un poco más para que los papás nos podamos tomar un trago tranquilos.Creo que hacen falta baños en albercas así como meseros para agilizar las filas en las barras (a veces debes esperar demasiado por una bebida y duras mas tiempo formado que en lo que te la tomas).

An impressive family hotel that's kept spotlessly clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent food, plenty of variety and good quality. Good entertainment, four pools and beach location. The sea is suitable for paddling but the waves make it difficult to swim and play water sports but plenty of sun loungers, which are free.

I was extremely excited for this all inclusive as it is rated very high. It is a beautiful hotel with a nice view of the beach along with everything is clean. Staff is always cleaning everything. But just know that you will be hungry. The food is the worst food I have ever had at an all inclusive. The buffet was not good, I ate noodles everyday. The steakhouse horrible! The Italian and Asian were the two that were decent. A lot of local tourists at this resort, so coming from the U.S I was very surprised. Very limited people speak English. Wasn’t the best hotel and wouldn’t come back but had a nice time. At every other resort the staff waits on you and runs to you while here it wasn’t like that. Staff was nice but not as catering as you would like at an all inclusive.

We stayed here 5 days. Amazing! The service is phenomenal. The whole staff was very attentive, helpful and very courteous. It has 4 big pools and a kid area. It has daily entertainment and games. There's also a kid friendly sports bar with pool tables, and Foosball tables. The rooms are big and super comfortable, and come with a mini bar with several bottles (tequila, vodka, etc) and a fridge full with water bottles, sodas and beer. Definitely recommend it!

I took a holiday at this hotel between March 24 and April 1 and I must say that it was wonderful and unforgettable. people and staff were great fun and nice. Férias fantásticas neste resort. A instalação era limpa e bonita. A equipe foi amigável e convidativa, nada, mas útil. Os quartos eram espaçosos e limpos. O buffet estava delicioso, muitas opções. Sempre bem conservada e nunca suja. Muitas frutas frescas e legumes grelhados. As opções de carne eram sempre cozidas na medida certa, macias e suculentas. As piscinas e decks de piscina eram limpos e fáceis de navegar. A equipe de entretenimento foi envolvente e divertida. A única coisa que eu diria que talvez esteja faltando é mais opções para as noites. Uma vez que o show noturno termina, não há muito o que fazer, a menos que você vá para o hotel associado na praia. Não é uma tarefa difícil, é um passeio rápido, mas tudo fecha depois das 10h ao lado do bar de esportes.

Fantastic vacation at this resort. The facility was clean and beautiful. The staff were friendly and inviting, nothing but helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The buffet was delicious, lots of options. Always well kept and never dirty looking. Lots of fresh fruit and grilled veggies. The meat selections were always cooked just right, tender and juicy. The pools and pool decks were clean and easy to navigate. The entertainment staff were engaging and fun. The only thing I'd say is maybe missing is more options for the evenings. Once the nightly show is over, there's not much to do unless you go over to the sister hotel down the beach. Not a difficult task, it's a quick stroll over but everything closes after 10ish beside the sports bar.

Lo bueno: instalaciones y ambiente agradables, la atención del personal es muy buena, la comida es variada y tiene opciones para todos los gustos. Lo malo: la limpieza no es excelente, el sofá de mi habitación tenía una mancha bastante notoria, el extractor del baño no funcionaba y aún cuando lo reporté 3 veces en recepción no lo arreglaron y tampoco me cambiaron de habitación. El frigobar de la habitación hace mucho ruido. Lo peor: encontré un tenedor sucio donde se toman los utensilios limpios en el snack bar. Yo esperaría que como parte de las medidas sanitarias aplicaran una limpieza excepcional pero claramente no fue así.

Eu fiquei em outro Riu em Cancun, então meio que comparei minha experiência com a outra. Os jardins aqui são super bonitos e têm uma boa quantidade de espaço (4 piscinas, área de praia). É definitivamente mais uma multidão barulhenta, mas divertida e emocionante. A comida é ok..não é ótimo. Nada que escrever. As bebidas são boas, muitos bares. Os quartos são bons, a minha única reclamação é que o AC cheirava a precisar de um novo filtro às vezes. O serviço foi ótimo - todos foram muito simpáticos e gentis. No geral, tivemos uma ótima experiência, eu não ficaria necessariamente neste local novamente, mas não tenho queixas sérias. É ótimo pelo preço!!

I’ve stayed at another Riu in Cancun so kind of went in comparing my experience to the other one. The grounds here are super beautiful and they have a good amount of space (4 pools, beach area). It’s definitely more of a rowdy crowd but fun and exciting. The food is ok..not great. Nothing to write home about. The drinks are good, lots of bars. The rooms are nice, my only complaint being the AC smelt like It needed a new filter at times. The service was great - everyone was very friendly and kind. Overall we had a great experience, I wouldn’t necessarily stay at this location again but I have no serious complaints. It’s great for the price!!

Ambiente e funcionários são ótimos. Este é um lugar muito divertido e descontraído. O resort é independente e você pode vir, fazer o check-in e relaxar até a hora de sair. Pelo preço, tudo é como esperado…. Com uma exceção. As camas são horríveis. A única maneira de obter uma noite inteira de sono (não descansar) é estar um pouco bêbado ao ir para a cama. Mas, caso contrário, eu recomendaria totalmente alguns dias aqui. Se você visitar, aqui vão algumas dicas: - os restaurantes estão cheios e têm uma lista de espera de mais de 45 minutos se você não estiver no primeiro lugar (ou seja, na porta a cerca de 30 minutos da abertura) - as pessoas deixam suas coisas nas espreguiçadeiras para “reservar” a partir das 5 da manhã… se você quiser uma cadeira, chegue cedo às piscinas.

Fiquei de 26 de dezembro a 2 de janeiro. Foi uma ótima experiência, tecnicamente estava lá sozinho e me senti seguro. Adorei a praia, mimosas, meu quarto, a vista, e principalmente o pessoal! Eu não amo a comida lá, mas consegui de qualquer maneira lol! Eu retornarei! Antonio, Hugo e algumas das outras pessoas que trabalhavam na praia eram tão amigáveis! Eu amei as faxineiras também, elas eram tão queridas. Eu recomendaria ficar aqui! mas se eu pudesse fazer uma sugestão, seria tão bom se eles pudessem oferecer um leite sem leite para o café :) :) :) :)

A equipe foi bom, mas não foram dadas instruções quando fizemos o check-in sobre como a comida/restaurantes funcionou ou qualquer coisa. As piscinas fecham cedo. A comida é de baixa qualidade. Por exemplo, eles têm atum, mas cortes baratos. Eles têm mechas de salmão, mas é carne marrom da barriga. Sem carne nada no menu. Fiquei surpreso que eles não tinham comida mexicana melhor. Olá, estávamos no México, como você tem um balcão de pizza e nada local? Pratos sujos e crocantes com pedaços de comida grudados em todos eles. Eles precisam de novos pratos e uma máquina de lavar louça melhor.As camas são péssimas, colchão de molas super barato. Travesseiros são tão grossos quanto guardanapos e as toalhas podem ser usadas para lixar seu último projeto de trabalho em madeira.No geral, parecia mais 3 estrelas do que 4 estrelas. Comida era muito melhor fora do resort. Poderia ter ficado em um airbnb de US$ 60 e ter uma experiência melhor não comer no resort ou ficar por lá.

El hotel ofrece un lugar muy elegante y agradable, musica en vivo y actividades, sin embargo creo que deja algunos detalles importantes fuera. Los alimentos; si bien el buffet tiene comida de calidad regular-buena, en los restaurantes de temática oriental e Italiana para sorpresa personal tienen buffets, de una calidad algo mala en algunos alimentos particulares y no ofrecen carta en el oriental entonces se pierde la esencia de ser un restaurante. En el área de bebidas los elementos usados (calidad de botellas)son buenos pero aveces las bebidas son preparadas con poca precisión y no saben del todo bien. La playa esta muy bien y es bastante agradable pero es justo ahí donde es mas incomodo que no te ofrezcan llevarte bebidas a tu lugar, en todas las áreas publicas del hotel debes formarte para tus bebidas y el concepto suena sustentable hasta que se forman filas de hasta 20 personas y estarás un rato formado y es cuando estas en la playa donde es mas incomodo hacerlo. En conclusión es un hotel bueno pero falta personal y amabilidad.

Acudimos al hotel . todo iba bien ,hasta el dia de nuestro checkout, dejamos un dinero en el cajón de nuestra habitación, 5,000 aprox. Salimos a lo mucho 1hora, cuando regresamos alguien de su personal ingreso a nuestra habitación y nos ROBO!! Fuimos a recepción na reclamar, NADIE nos soluciono,salía nuestro vuelo,no pudimos quedarnos a hacer más reclamos, dijeron que no sabían quién había entrado que no tenían cámaras,una COMPLRTA DECEPCION LAS VACACIONES AHI, íbamos con nuestras hijas pequeñas, lo bueno que teníamos más dinero en ese momento ,sino nos arruinan nuestro regreso , HORRIBLE LOS RIU

Here now and AWFUL experience!!!All that $ for this place and they can’t even figure out a room to sleep the 4 of us. First room was SUPER loud and a dirty bathroom with no conditioner or soap (shampoo only…. Ridiculous lol). Asked to be changed rooms with better sleeping arrangements. Upon request we were moved this morning to an even smaller room with less sleeping space!!! 🤷🏼‍♂️ They obviously don’t care. The guy at the front desk was very RUDE and totally unhelpful. He said the room we were moved to was bigger (NOT AT ALL) and the worst part of everything was we had to move all of our luggage over to the new room ourselves without the help of their staff. Terrible experience and kind of ruined our family vacation so needless to say we will NEVER be coming back again. For anyone thinking about visiting this resort I would strongly suggest/recommend you look at almost any other option….. like anything else!!!

The only really good thing about this hotel is they serve you alcohol non-stop. You can get absolutely demolished. Literally free alcohol everywhere, that's the only good part. Grounds are small, place is overcrowded, food is barely mediocre at the buffet. Shower has no hot water, they don't have anything for kids. This is a party resort, not a family resort.

We are a family of 4 and stayed for 4 nights. This resort is great for families but I do wish the kids pool area was bigger. We really liked the size of the resort but I definitely wouldn't come during the busy season,would be way to crowded. The hospitality here is some of the best service I've had anywhere. The staff was so nice and helpful.The food is pretty good. The beds are not the most comfortable but aren't rock hard. I highly recommend booking any excursions through nexus. They are so helpful. We did the day trip to Las caletas and it was amazing!

Staff was nice but no directions were given when we checked in on how food/restaurants worked or anything. Pools close early. Food is low quality. For example they have tuna, but cheap cuts. They have salmon locks, but it's brown belly meat. No beef anything on the menu. Was surprised they didn't have better Mexican food. Hello, we were in Mexico how do you have a pizza counter and nothing local? Dirty crusty dishes with bits of food stuck to all of them. They need new plates and a better dishwasher. Beds suck, super cheap spring mattress. Pillows are as thick as napkins and the towels could be used to sand out your latest wood working project. Overall, seemed more 3 star than 4 star. Food was way better off the resort. Could have stayed in a $60 airbnb and had a better experience not eating at the resort or hanging out there.

Ambiance and staff are great. This is a very fun, laid back place. The resort is self contained and you can come, check-in and relax until it’s time to leave. For the price, everything is as expected…. With one exception. The beds are horrible. The only way to get a full night of sleep (not rest) is to be a bit drunk when heading to bed. But otherwise, I’d totally recommend a few days here. If you visit, here’s a few tips: - the restaurants are full and have a 45+ minute waiting list if you aren’t in the first seating (meaning in the door within about 30 from opening) - people drop their stuff at lounge chairs to “reserve” them starting at 5am… if you want a chair, get to the pools early.

I stayed December 26-Jan 2. it was a great experience, I was technically there alone and I felt safe. I loved the beach, mimosas, my room, the view, and especially the staff! I don't love the food there but I managed anyways lol! I will be back! Antonio, Hugo, and some of the other people who worked at the beach were so friendly! I loved the cleaning ladies too, they were so sweet. I would recommend staying here! but if I could make a suggestion, it would be so nice if they could offer a non dairy milk for coffee :) :) :) :)

Desde que llegas sientes la calidez de todos, las habitaciones muy cuidadas y bien ubicadas, el detalle es que debes pasar por recepción para llegar al elevador, poquito incómodo.Los restaurantes son excelentes, gran variedad de alimentos, buen sazón, y claro todos muy atentos y amables.La zona de albercas muy amena, muchas actividades durante el día, área de snacks y bebidas.Los eventos muy diversos y entretenidos, siempre encuentras algo que hacer.El ambiente muy familiar, muy recomendable.

Desde que llegas sientes la calidez de todos, las habitaciones muy cuidadas y bien ubicadas, el detalle es que debes pasar por recepción para llegar al elevador, poquito incómodo.Los restaurantes son excelentes, gran variedad de alimentos, buen sazón, y claro todos muy atentos y amables.La zona de albercas muy amena, muchas actividades durante el día, área de snacks y bebidas.Los eventos muy diversos y entretenidos, siempre encuentras algo que hacer.El ambiente muy familiar, muy recomendable.

This is not the first Riu property I have been to and I can say it deservesto be told about. Refurbished in 2019 the rooms and the property overall is very nice and clean, fresh paint, large pools , good food . The only not very RIU like was the service. The staff was not very welcoming and accommodating, sometimes even rude. I don’t know if that’s because of COVID or other reasons, but they are understaffed and whoever still works there are doing their job half way. The entertainment was ok. Good shows for adults, not much for children . If you want more activities for kids than RIU Jalisco next door can do it. The beach is clean and nice. Be aware this is not a white sand beach , so if you’re looking for a blue clear water than Vallarta is not the place.

Great resort, clean rooms, restaurants, pools, and hotel.Food was great with lots of variety. They accommodated to our dietary restrictions. The staff everywhere was so helpful. The head cheff was really nice and showed us everything. Free rapid covid tests for family with immediate results and email. The evening shows were terrific!!! No tickets needed if you bought the all-inclusive.

Overall just average. The hotel room was nice and the pools are decent but the food (at all of the restaurants) is HORRIBLE, the alcohol is watered down (and they only offer 2 kinds of cheap beer), and the hotel app isn’t up to date so it’s hard to know what’s going on. We ended up just leaving the resort to find something better to eat (seriously the food is NOT good) and explore the town a couple of times. Good customer service from the staff and very clean, but the hotel overall is lacking. Beach was beautiful and it was a decent price when booked as a package, but we will not be returning to this resort. C+

Came to the hotel we let the people know at check in that we could not make the covid test when they offered it. They told us when we slip a paper in your door just come and change the date. We did that they proceeded to tell us that now we had to pay because we decided to change it. 30 dollars a test. We changed it and we’re told ok only time we have available is 5. The day comes we speak to a young man named Natalio that says we have nothing scheduled for you. We tell him the young lady Alejandra told us. They call her over she calls us liars she never told us that. That our test is scheduled at another resort we can walk or take a taxi to it. How is that ok? The manager comes up her name is Lupita Islas and she said there must have been a misunderstanding so she said we can walk to the test or take one at the airport it’s up to us. Ridiculous, when we told her what was said to us by her employees she said sorry misunderstanding. I would never stay here again or recommend anyone to stay here. STAY AWAY 0 customer service terrible resort

Hello we had a family reunion (38 people from 2yrs to 84 yrs old) at this hotel 8/21-8/29, 2021.My overall rating is 5 stars. Customer service representatives to the busboy was top notion. The food at the specialty restaurant was excellent in my family's opinion.I liked the steakhouse and my favorite was the international restaurant Kulinarium. Outstanding service by everyone and I truly enjoyed the meal. This place is family friendly.The evening shows are appropriate for the entire family. They are covid safe in means of mask, cleaning, temperature checking, hand sanitizer, plastic barriers where needed. I saw them constantly wiping down the entire facility.If you decide to give this place and opportunity remember to tip your servers. From the table server to the maid. The food was so bland and everything is stretched and watered down. From the orange juice to the syrup for the pancakes. The drinks were terrible to the point I only drank beer. The Italian restaurant is the only decent one. If you plan on eating steak you have to go in line early to reserve a spot because there is always a wait. There was night time entertainment which was good. If you want a midnight snack I hope you are drunk. No sober person will want to eat nacho cheese that is orange. Hamburgers are left in refrigerator for you to warm up and add condiments. Beach was okay but there were jellyfish. I heard multiple people complaining about being stung. This hotel isn't bad, it is just average. If you just want to get away and don't care about food or drinks, its is the place to be.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Staff is always cleaning and very mindful of sanitation efforts. Great shows, lots of activities to do. Food really good except for the Steakhouse, which was average. The adults only swim up bar/pool is nice. I would definitely stay here again. It's exceeds our expectations.

They fulfilled my expectations, I was reluctant to stay here because of my bad experience at Hotel Riu in Mazatlan. The bad organization they had in the restaurants left much to be desired, but here (Hotel Riu Vallarta) it was something that I did not expect. It was organized as it should be, the food was good, the acceptable rooms with an ocean view were great. They also have classes that fall between working out in the pool like water aerobics or in this open studio that is next to the pool where you could do yoga and zumba! Instructors knew their stuff and made the classes entertaining!

Un hotel muy bonito riu vallarta, perfecto para cuando no haya pandemia,tantos contagios de covid a nivel nacional, y en el hotel bastante gente, aglomerado, sin sana distancia, ni medidas de seguridad, poca gente utiliza el cubrebocas, las albercas muy llenas y la gente muy junta, lo mejor irse a la playa,muy alto riesgo de contagio, otras cadenas hoteleras se preocupan más por los protocolos de seguridad, en el bufet, todo mundo agarra los utensilios con los que se sirve la comida, hace falta que sea asistido el bufet.Hace falta que se pongan estrictos en los protocolos anticovid, ya que de otra manera los contagios van a estar graves.En la alberca que está junto al bar, todooooosssss juntos, y sin ninguna restricción en el alcohol, me tocó ver cuando menos a dos personas, saliendo de la alberca y cayéndose de borrachos.Lo rescatable, la atención de los.meseros, los restaurantes temáticos para cenar,muy buenos alimentos y muy buena atención del personal.Se que los negocios deben generar dinero, pero en esta contingencia debe ser primero la salud.Decepcionado de los protocolos del hotel.

EU AMEI este lugar. A única razão pela qual eu não dei 5 estrelas foi o buffet poderia ter sido melhor, mas eu realmente me diverti. Muito limpo e excelente serviço ao cliente. It's affordable. Building is nice but in our bedroom three outlets didn't work right. The coffeemaker was broken.. the pools close at 7. Kids pool only allows you to be in for one hour before they kick you out (also they make an adult be in there but won't let anyone else in, they don't let you bring in drinks in there either). The buffet serves the same food most of the time... They don't have anything to do except for eating... The vendors with the horses were rude and drunk. Parking is horrible, spots are too tight. Try not to come on the weekend because that's when it's full and service suffers with so many people.

Second visit in 2 years. Riu Vallarta has been updated since our last visit in 2019. It looks terrific as they kept the Art Deco theme with a brighter lobby and corridors. As a family of 5 we were given a 2 bedroom family set-up. A major plus! The view of the ocean was terrific. The 4 pool layout offers something for everyone. The walk to the beach is in easy walking distance. The food was delicious and the nightly shows were enjoyable. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the daily instructor-led exercise class in the outdoor facility. The resort was quite tidy and the staff really tries hard to do a good job. A terrific vacation.

As a travel agent this is a great place for families. The food was fantastic, the pool area was great the staff was great, the room we had was great with a fantastic view. We had a Jr Suite. The only complaint we have if there is any is that there is a lot of stairs to get down to the pool. It is a larger resort so prepare to walk. For older people or people with disabilities I would not recommend this resort.

Fui este fin de semana y hay varios puntos negativos.Uno de ellos es que las almohadas están mal lavadas y huelen a cebo o a "cabeza" pedi 5 extras y todas iguales.Otro es que no hay meseros en el área de alberca y las pocas barras que hay o las barras móviles se atascan y es hacer fila de 35 a 60 minutos para una simple bebida o todas las que quieras.Otro punto muy negativo es que todas las albercas no tienen una sombría mínima o malla. Toda la alberca al sol al 100%. Muy difícil aguantar el caloron y mal hidratado por falta de meseros y barras.Los bufete y restaurantes temáticos (en especial el suspiro malisisisisimo) de malos a muy malos.El steak house se salva porque son cortes, pero al igual los complementos malos.Las bebidas marismas. Cerveza tecate roja y de barril malas muy pesadas. Lo mejor de los vinos era JW etiqueta roja y torres X, los tequilas son Orendain y el vino tinto de dudosa procedencia sepa qiien los conozca y calientes.El sport bar que es 24 horas el aire acondicionado fallando y muy deficiente.La habitación si esta muy bonita y la atención de "Estrella" en el desayuno del domingo lo sobresaliente.Espero les sirva para mejorar y tengan un poco de más cuidado con sus clientes.No es el primero y no será el último Riu en el que me hospede; pero ahora si me fue como en feria de mal.

Es un lugar lujoso con actividades para niños principalmente en el día, y eventos muy buenos en la noche para toda la familia. No sé permite el ingreso a vendedores al espacio de playa y por supuesto que las artesanías son pocas opciones las que tienen para ofrecer en la tienda del hotel; los protocolos de seguridad por la contingencia son bien aplicados, pero en generales los huéspedes son quienes se resisten a cumplir con las reglas.

La verdad quede desilucionada con el servicio, el hotel estaba a un 90% de su capacidad, cuando hable previamente y pregunte si estaban respetando las indicaciones del gobierno de ocupacion limitada por el tema COVID, ylogico que el personal que esta trabajando en el hotel hace su mejor esfuerzo pero es insuficiente....los sanitarios del area de albercas...pesimo...todos los dias olia a baño publico o peor....los snacks con pesimo sabor...la atencion del bar...mal....es una lastima, por que hace dos años estuve ahi en las mismas fechas y su atencion, comida, limpieza, etc...fue excelente por eso regrese y hasta los recomende y honestamente no vuelvo...sin contar que por la gente que asiste, parece que estas en albercas publicas.....es una pena que su calidad este por los suelos....No lo recomiendo ni regreso!!!

We made reservations from 5 octoberto 9th october.. I went with my wife and son and one more family.. check in was easy in hotel and room was also nice , spacious and clean with sea view.. we went to try out in steak house and Italian rest. Il gusto and both places food was really tasty, yummy.. overall we had great time. Only we could go inside sea because we were told their was some corocdile roaming around in that region water so it was not allowed..Few things I would like hotel to look into is that they should allow people to reserve pool side rest chairs with towel to customer,it should not be allowed and so whenever anybodyComes.. they can use it..Another thing is more option for vegetarian food in breakfast..Over all we had good time and I would definately go back in future to this hotel Riu.

Ok so we arrive to the hotel and check in and the guy ar front desk check is in an were were not told or get walked my. I one to direct us to the room so here is me ans Ku wife waking around the hotel looking down a elevator ans god Dmn on this huge as hotel they only have one .... one elevatoras we walk to the room we find a teen aver vomiting on the hall way this happened close to the lobby , after that we finally find the elevator that is as big as 4 feet by 4 feet ans it’s 95 degrees inside , so we finally get to our room that is The only ok part about all that it happened to us on that same nightso we ask for room service and we get surprised that they don’t have room service so they reveló says we have a sports bar that you can get drinks and hamburgers Ake hot dogs so we decide to go downstairs to the supposedly sports bar and as we walk out of the mini ans only elevatorand we are walking towards the sport bar I tell lo wife Soyuz hear that water leak she says yesso we keept walking ans it’s was not a water leak before you get to the reception there is aMan Peeing !!!!!! And receptionist did not did nothing they were not on the front desk he was chatting with a group of teen Agers Ana we were at front desk for about 30 minutes ans not even him or the supposedly security guys dressed in brown took a minute to see what we needed then in the same group he was chilling with a fight washappening because some one from. The hotel stole 2 purses and a guys was blaiming another guy so they hit each other And cops arrived , after that I saw that receptionist did not care of what we was needing and also because wereputting the complaint about the service fo the hotel and the dirty this place was... this is not what it’s advertised and I don’t recommend the bookingwe triedto get changed from hotels because in the same block there is 3 RIUs But no help was offered to us this please SUCKS!!!!!Also at sports bar they have cold food that you have to heat up and prepare your self and all condimentsare old and gets touchedby every one here they don’t wear face masks due to CovidAnd that is sanitation

Comprendo que es época de descuento por covid pero aún así, es importante mantener la reglamentación sobre el código de ética y vestimenta. Gente con bocina poniendo su música cuando por parte del hotel tiene su propia música y se hace un ruidero, niños en la piscina de bar, no hay un lugar tranquilo apartado. No sé, tengo la sensación de estar en un balneario. En cuanto a lo demás, está bien, la limpieza, el servicio y atención, solo que ni de broma están respetando el porcentaje permitido, hay fácil un 80% o más de ocupación, todas las áreas están llenas. No son las vacaciones que tenía en mente.

Riu siempre se distingue por su calidad y servicio, solo en este hotel tuvimos un inconveniente ya que una noche con una lluvia se activó sus alarmas 🚨 las cuales como tal son muy “alarmantes” 😝 y era una FALSA alarma, entonces a media noche prácticamente todo el hotel desalojó sus cuartos, familia con Niño pequeños, los elevadores no servían por la lluvia, las únicas escaleras mojadas, una chava se cayó se lastimó su espalda y sus uñas, otro señor hipertenso se puso mal tuvieron q llamar una ambulancia y el hotel se lavó las manos no quiso hacerse responsable y toda la noche prácticamente fue lo mismo hasta las 8am sonó x ultima vez su falsa alarma... x lo q toda la noche no se pudo descansar y menos dormir

I'm hoping my actual stay is better!Post Stay Update: The grounds, amenities, staff and rooms are very nice. We enjoyed our stay after check in of course. I only had 2 downsides: 1. The late night food options are very limited and there is no room service, 2. There were kids everywhere. Like even where the pool bars are and you would think that would be an adults only area. It is a family resort but it would be nice to have some designated adults only areas. The guy at the front greeting guests, helping with bags and to get cabs was always pleasant and helpful. Overall, I would stay again especially since I didn't get hassled about some kind of presentation.

El servicio es muy lento, tanto para el Check in. Como para el Check Up. En los alimentos en términos generales es regular. Hace falta mejorar en los alimentos. Y nos pasó un detalle muy desagradable, A las 2:45 am de la madrugada, se activó la alarma en todo el hotel de EVACUAR el hotel , TRES VECES Y FUE UNA FALSA ALARMA, HAY QUE TENER CUIDADO CON ESA MALA EXPERIENCIA.Y CUANDO SE LE HIZO EL COMENTARIO A LOS DE RECEPCIÓN CONTESTAN DE MUY MALA GANA. Quede muy desilucionada.1 es ya un hotel de tercera por la gente que van y su precio no es barato2 No hay el servicio de valet parking3 aciertas personas de seguridad. No tienen la atencion de decir las cosas. Con amabilidad y son prepotentes.4 los horarios de comidas terminan muy temprano. Y vamos a descansar. Y son carreras para alcanzar los tiempos y la comida es buena pero en platos fuertes no es suficientes.5 en areas de albercas no hay servicio de meseros lo tiene uno que hacer todo.6 el show de la noche es muy mediocreYa de nuestra parte no volveremos a su hotel

El personal fue muy amable, las habitaciones limpias,La experiencia no fue tan placentera por temas de pandemia pero eso es externo al hotel.Las 4 estrellas es porque el servicio de la clínica es muy caro y tienes que trasladarte a otro hotel. Además nos cobraron la llamada siendo una llamada interna.

Muchísima gente en el hotel, no están respetando el porcentaje de ocupación, ni había camastros disponibles, niños en la alberca de bar (entiendo que es responsabilidad de los padres, pero no debería permitirse), el personal de areas de albercas nada amables, la playa terriblemente sucia...Había un bar completamente lleno de personas, así como el area de espectáculos que no está totalmente al aire libre, por lo que el riesgo de contagios aumenta de forma desproporcionada al encontrarse cantando.

Trato amable, comida deliciosa, buena atención del personal de recepción y bares. Solo no me gustó que por ir yo sola no me atendían bien en los restaurantes. Se olvidaban de mi mesa. Creo que deben organizarse mejor pues con la contingencia el personal no se da a basto para mantener la seguridad y las medidas. Me gustó mucho el hotel.

Decepcionada del hotel, no sé si es por que se están recuperando de los días que estuvo cerrado pero hay muy poco personal para los huéspedes que ya hay, y de los que están son pocos los que son atentos, la comida es pésima (supongo que también están ahorrando en eso), el área común es pequeña para la cantidad de habitaciones que tienen por lo que en las albercas y restaurantes la cercanía con las personas es inevitable (y se supone que están trabajando al 30% de su capacidad). Las habitaciones son muy básicas y los horarios de los alimentos muy restringidos, igual los horarios de las albercas y áreas comunes, en el bar hasta nos apagaron la luz de una forma grosera, sin avisar ni nada. Por el precio se puede encontrar algo mucho mejor.

NO VOLVEREMOS A HOSPEDARNOS AQUÍ !Estuve hospedado del 8 al 10 de agosto, y meLleve una decepción grande con los cuartos que me dieron, en el cuarto 3037 no funcionaba el aire acondicionado, tampoco el frigobar y para cerrar con broche de oro, el desagüe de la regadera estaba tapada.Me cambiaron a las 9 pm el frigobar sin embargo el que me pusieron estaba sucio y tampoco servia. Por lo que me asignaron un nuevo cuarto el 3019, y pues nos encontramos con el mismo problema del aire acondicionado, y en el cuarto encontramos este gusano y una cucaracha en la taza del baño. Y por si fuera poco, toda la noche se escuchó una gotera en el baño (nos explicaron que tenían una fuga de agua en uno de los cuartos ubicados arriba del nuestro).Del bufete, estuvo muy básico e insuficiente para todos los que estábamos hospedados.El precio que manejan es muy inferior al que en realidad cuesta; sin embargo, no es una justificación para que tengan tantos detalles los cuartos !Supuestamente estaba con un aforo del 30% cosa que no es cierto !El personal es muy atento y eficiente, y siempre respetaron las medidas de sanidad !

Los empleados son muy atentos y amables, las instalaciones están bien, aunque en la habitación 2 toalleros entraban en el piso, como que mantenimiento no tuvo tiempo de reinstalarlos, el papel higiénico estaba empezado, lo dejaron así los anteriores inquilinos, las toallas del baño olían mal y nunca nos dieron sábanas para el sofa cama del cuarto. La comida excelente, lo malo, que en el teatro, a pesar de hacer concursos para los niños, hay gente fumando, y también fuman en las albercas. De lo demás, bien.

Y no guardando distancia...En la zona de helados debería de haber alguien sirviendolos... Hay gente literal comiéndose el helado mientras se lo sirve.....Noche de karaoke? Un micrófono que se comparte entre decenas de personas es una fuente de infección INMENSA de COVID.. Deberían de pensar en otras actividades con menor riesgo....

Nice place but I don't understand 5 star rating. No waiters to serve you drinks you have to wait in line to get drinks that is not relaxing. no sensebla meals or snacks in between restaurants hours. one atm that fees are outrageousNo cash on hand at reception desk in case you need change for taxi.Food is good Italian restaurant was greatRoom was ok. If you need something out side of the resort good luck nothing within a few blocks. I felt like Ihad no choiceUnless I took a taxi to venture out.This was my first time. I will give a try againIt can all be blamed on covid19.

El cuarto decente, las instalaciones bien. El todo incluido te deja muchísimo que desear. No tienen ni limonada, había un sólo restaurante de especialidades abierto al cuál llegamos a las 7.30 para reservar y nos dijeron que hasta que se llenara podríamos hacerlo, regresamos y claro que ya no alcanzamos lugar 👎🏻 el buffet muy muy equis, snacks no tenían Nada tampoco, el sports bar muy aburrido y silencioso lleno de pantallas con publicidad del riu, le dijimos al chico de ahí que cambiara canales y lo hizo de mala gana. En la mañana del día de hoy me desperté con el escándalo a las 8-9 am de martillazos, llamé y me dicen que no tienen ningún tipo de reparación programada entonces ni sabían que era?? Un día antes me comentan suena la alarma de emergencia a las 5 a.m. Entonces este lugar definitivamente no es para descansar, pero tampoco para enfiestarse pues es muy aburrido en general y falta de actividades. Último detalle la cama se sentía húmeda por lo que tampoco fue muy cómoda, llamé para que cambiarán sábanas. Desconozco protocolos de seguridad con el covid19 pues no pudieron explicarme en lobby.

Amazing place to visit with family. We went during July of the year 2020. So this is was peak pandemic hysteria. They actually are more well prepared than places in USA. I commend them for the way they took care of us and would definitely go back.

We went with a total of 3 couples and were in rooms 5048, 5049, 5051 February 20-26, 2020. The first day everyone's rooms seemed great! We were nearly in the center of the hotel with a beautiful room that looked directly over the courtyard and onto the ocean. Guests are not allowed to make reservations for any of the themed restaurants in advance, which they said shouldn't be a problem. But then when we'd show up at 6:30-7:00 pm, receive a buzzer and are told it's a 40 minute wait, then check at about 45 minutes and there are still 13 people in front of us? That didn't make sense. Unfortunately, we ate the buffet most days which kind of gets boring. Especially when their site raves about their restaurants. For our room 5048, the circuit breaker kept tripping in our room by day 2. We would enter the room, put the key in the slot for electricity and the circuit breaker would trip. Over and over. I only had a hair straightener in the restroom and a phone cord plugged into the USB port in the outlet near the bed. So it's not like we were overloading the fuse box. we continued to deal with it and fix it ourselves each time. I had to use the restroom in the dark a few times and even shower in the dark. Talk about a tripping hazard 🙁 Because the circuit would trip, we would come back to a damp room which meant damp clean clothes (No Air Conditioner going). We knew to leave our extra key in the slot while we were out of the room. That way our room would always be comfortable after a hot day... That wasn't the case. The worst part was on the last morning (early am) of our trip, the circuit kept tripping so much that it would kick the AC on and off and not allow us to be able to sleep. I was able to tell a utility guy day 3 and demonstrate the issue with him being he didn't seem to understand me, but that didn't fix the problem. I let the front desk know what was happening too and nothing was fixed. Than, to top it all off, the other two rooms flooded from the sprinkler system. (5049 and 5051). The floors were flooded which is where all their suit cases were open and laying out. The beds were soaked and the walls and ceilings were leaking. So much so, that water somehow got into the safe of 5051 and dampened their passports and any other personal items (money, jewelry, etc). No dry cleaning was offered for either couple, and the couple in 5049 didn't even get switched rooms and their room flooded later again that day. The couple in 5051 was switched to a room across from the hotel. We tried not to let it affect our last day/night at the resort. But we did spend quite a bit of money for having the poor experience we did. The worst part about it all, is RIU refused to take responsibility nor address our experience. We booked the trip through a local travel agent who then booked our trip with Delta Vacations, who then books RIU.RIU responded through email after our trip and did not take any responsibility at all. They said they fixed the electric problem the first day which they clearly did not. They said they offered laundry services and switching of rooms, which they did not. They also try to say it was a “small” leak, which it WAS NOT!Very very poor customer service, do not waste your time booking with RIUCheck out their response below. Notice how they made it about the food and not the actual issues like the circuit breaker tripping or rooms FLOODING?! Typical generated response, wouldn’t have expected anything more. Save your money people. AVOID RIU!!

Definitivamente de lo mejor para disfrutar en familia.Tiene alberca infantil adecuada para los más pequeños que además está cercada y cuenta con camastros al interior para que mamá y papá estén cerca.Tiene varias albercas para familia y una alberca genial con bar q es la onda y con vista al mar.La playa está deliciosa muy limpia y el mar tranquilo... ahí verdaderamente te relajas para tomar el sol ☀️El buffet delicioso y los restaurantes de especialidad maravillosos. Adecuado para cualquier necesidad o dieta especial... El área de snaks y bebidas realmente excelentes para todo gusto. El bar muy bien!!! Buenos bartenders. Y el sport bar q es 24 hrs con snaks y café para noctámbulos Las amenidades... desde q llegas al hotel te entregan el plan semanal de actividadesque están súper divertidas: yoga, Pilates, zumba, torneos de volley ball, concursos, espectáculos para niños, musicales, música en vivo, karaoke...No hay tiempo para decir q te aburres por que siempre hay algo q hacer .... y de repente en la tarde pasa el cochecito de helados o de frutao ya se organizo una olimpiada.Recomendado para familia con hijos pequeñitos, con hijos grandes... solo amigos, Luna de miel...La habitación es linda, la cama y almohadas son tan cómodas q no extrañaras tu casa.El baño impecable. El bar y refrigerador siempre lleno.El hotel es enorme!!! Y me parece que está tan bien diseñado que logra distribuir a toda la gente y ni te das cuenta qué hay tanta gente hospedada.El personal es verdaderamente amable... excelente calidad en el servicio... vale la pena cada pesoTotalmente maravilloso 🎉🎉

Simply the best!After returning from a week at the RIU Vallarta I have to say it is up there amongst the best hotels I've stayed in across the world.The staff were friendly and efficient. Always smiling and saying hello. The decor was superb, following the refurbishment late last year.The swimming pools were excellent, with my personal favourite being the swim up bar. The entertainment team were first class and tried to get as many people involved as possible but also understood when you didn't want to.We didn't really leave the resort but the location was great, only 30 minutes from the airport and taxi fares for getting elsewhere were very reasonable.Thank you to all the staff at Riu Vallarta

This was our first time in Puerto Vallarta and staying at a Riu, but our third time to Mexico at a resort. We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The food was far better than the previous resorts we stayed at and the overall food and drink service was great at times and good at others, but never bad. They had 4 liquor dispensers in each room which was a great bonus (our previous resorts only had in room beer and soda). As far as hotel service, we had an issue with our toilet which after 1 phone call, they quickly fixed, and emailed me to say the issue was resolved. We would definitely recommend this resort and it was a great value, but would look into other options in the future depending on what would be available and cost.

I agree with many others that say the pictures do this place no justice - this place is clean & beautiful. The buffet has everything you can think of - breakfast was by far my favorite. The staff are extremely friendly and are patient if you are trying to work on your spanish ;) but most know English and are able to help with anything. Arturo at the front desk helped me with multiple things unrelated to my hotel stay and was very friendly and eager to find solutions for me. The gym has all the basic necessities and the spa was a wonderful experience. I can't wait to visit this beautiful place again.

It was a decent/good week. Staff is always friendly and helpful. This is my second time coming here. Last year was my first and prior to the renovation. They did a nice job with the renovation. But the service has gone down. Last year there was beach service and this year only two days of beach service. Last year, when sitting out by the entertainment/theater area there was wait staff taking drink orders. This year, they were only taking empty glasses. I appreciate the beautiful weather and beach front. But was hoping for more service.

The pros..This hotel was amazing ..food excellent.staff friendly .house keeping fantastic ..location perfect.The cons....no designated area for smokers difficult to get away from themVery rowdy around the swim up bar with tourists getting drunk and very loud with no respect for others suspect they use the pool as a toilet as never seen leaving the pool!Entertainment not the best I've experienced as stayed in many riu hotels...sick of seeing Michael Jackson tribute!!!! Think of something new please!!!It was at times like being on an 18/30s holiday with drunken people being sick and escorted to their rooms throughout the day!!I would visit the riu Vallarta again

We went to checkout the newly remodeled hotel.It was very nice.The entire place is updated. A clean new look.The rooms had new mattresses which is fantastic.The food courts outside.... The food was protected with easy open shields for easy access and the food was good.Not too spicy.Drinks were excellent, Pina colada!For those who have stayed at the Riu Villarta in the past, it is a total transformation and it is beautiful!

Very nice hotel that was recently remodeled as of January 2020. Atmosphere is great with awesome pools, good drinks and a very nice staff. The food is just OK. I would recommend getting off the resort and getting some good Mexican food. Bucerias is close and has some great restaurants to try. It's a good time. I would highly recommend going with some friends for a relaxing or crazy getaway.Update: After having some issues on the last night of our stay, I am dropping the review down to three stars. The hotel was not helpful at all when we had water pouring into our bathroom from the floor above. The management on site wouldn't do anything and told us contact Riu corporate. After contacting corporate, they would do nothing to rectify the situation or replace items that were ruined by water. Thankfully Expedia came through for us and were amazing to work with.

Tired phoning 5 times but was redirected to different people and finally when I managed to get someone to speak to me I didn't get anywhere... My friends were on a 12h flight for their honeymoon and asked if I could purchase a bottle of champagne over the phone and if they could leave it there before their arrival. Lady said that they only leave champagnes between 6-7pm... I said that they will get there at around 3pm so would you be able to do that for me as it is a special occasion once again I said I'll pay. She was just like no... Can't be bothered attitude and just left it there. What the hell???

The food is GREAT! Service got better and friendlier near the end of the week. We don't like the fact that you can't reserve for dinner because they're full. I'm still rating it a 4 star since it's newly opened and definitely have kinks to work out which takes time. Some of the drinks were the best I'd ever had except Sangria and Mojitos.

The hotel itself was clean and tidy, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the amenities were everything we needed. However, our shower rarely got more than lukewarm and never hot, and the food availability after 11:00 PM is sparse to null. What was available had to be microwaved, and looked as if it had been sitting out for 24+ hours. As our flight arrived very late on the first day and we were very hungry, this was extremely disappointing. The entertainment was great. I'd recommend as long as you're not a late-night snacker!

One restaurant is outstanding, staff is very very friendly and helpful, especially Maria in the Sports Bar. She brings a smile to everyone's face!They were having a lot of issues with water. Flood in room across hall. Flood in courtyard a couple times. We have ground floor garden view, very late to elevator, so between people coming and going from elevator and maintenance people working on issues it was quite noisy but that was probably better than waiting for elevators.Entertainment was okay. Pools are nice. Beach is nice. Husband enjoyed using small sailboat each day and staff at water activities great.There were often line ups for drinks and drinks were inconsistent in preparation. Sometimes very strong, sometimes weak, sometimes made with different ingredients than other times.Staff was definitely best.

Riu Vallarta just went through a major renovation,new pool areas, restaurants, bars and rooms. Everything got renovated. Entertainment is top class from yoga, zumba, aerobics, pool parties, special events and nightly live music and shows.The best part of this place is the people that work here, they are hard working, friendly and respectful kudos to Esaul (front desk) for his attention to our needs, he is a wonderful asset to the Riu Vallarta, he made us feel at home the whole.time.we.were here.Always available to answer our questions or concerns.We will definitely will be coming back!

It's a great Hotel it's beautiful.It's older with good qualities.Live music and Entertainment.Buffets are what to expect in an all-inclusive three to four star quality but they have what you want to eat. They do not have music on the beach ask you to turn your music down if you bring your own music. Ac. in the room do not work properly the refrigerator in the room does not cool properly. And I question the liquor that they serve. If you have any issues just live with it.

Had a fantastic 2 weeks here.The room was spacious with a wrap around balcony overlooking the ocean. The food was delicious, whether you eat in the buffet restaurants or the a la carte, & it certainly was not repetitive.The pool area & beach were well maintained and clean, try having a massage on the beach, brilliant.The staff were fantastic, from check in to check out nothing was to much trouble.Would I recommend, YES.

Had a fantastic stay here. There are four restaurants - Nirvana is Asian themed, Don Rivera is a world themed restaurant, Sir George is upscale, and Flamingo is by the beach. Nirvana is only open for breakfast and dinner, Sir George is only open for dinner. Don Rivera and Flamingo are open for all meals - Flamingo seems to have the easiest hours, but we mostly ate at Don Rivera which has an enormous variety of options.There is also a bar in the lobby called Bar Astoria where you can get drinks pretty much all of the time.There is also a sports bar that is actually open 24/7. You can get snacks and booze there. Last bit on the food is the ice cream is really fantastic and when they say "spicy" I would say they mean it. There are two pools - a kids pool and an adult pool. Kids seem to play in the adult pool, but are not allowed in the swim up bar area, which is a bit of a bummer as they make good Virgin Pina Coladas. There is a show every night and entertainment on the lower level, all of which had been of high quality. You can get taxis from the lobby pretty easily. I would recommend getting some Pesos at the airport to pay for taxis. You can also book trips right in the lobby. Finally, there is fantastic access to the ocean and a private beach that is beautiful. I cannot really find anything to nitpick or find fault with. Great spot.

Overall a nice experience.The room was clean and the staff were very nice.We enjoyed that buffet had different options each night.The food overall was good, but need more between meal snack options.There are a few negatives.The elevators did not work for a day and even when they were working they were slow. Also they were not air conditioned so they were very hot.The water sports shop did not have enough boogie boards so we had to wait hours to get one.Would work stay there again.Yes we would.

Only disappointment was getting locked in the lobby toilets 30 mins before we were due to leave! No matter how much I turned the lock, it refused to open. Didn't have WiFi signal in the toilets so had to turn my data roaming on just to send a message to get me out of there. Be careful if you do use them.

My family and I spent a week here in April. We had a blast!Anytime I book I look at reviews so I wasn't aure how this will go.So here it is:Pros:Food:Every buffet meal had a special or a theme. There was plethora of options to choose from (my 2 favs - street tacos and salmon with pineapple chutney)Omelett station, sandwich station, pasta station - all made to order.Specialized restaurants are good.Check them out in the evenings.No sign up, registrations etc. First come first serve. We would go check in around 7:50 and go see the kid show until our table was ready.Only place with the dress code is the Gourmet restaurant,but all they ask is men to wear long pants and no sleeveless tshirts. Easy peasy. Nirvana didn't have a wait time.Service:Excellent service by all employees!They went above and beyond to make our kids feel included.Pool:Pool was so clean!!!We always found chairs easily - and we slept in till 10 daily.Drink service is sporadic, but you can easily walk for 60 seconds to the bar area1 towel/day excellent idea!People hang on to their towels and take them with them. Less mess at the pool, and less "saving spots".Kids loves the slidesEntertainment:Every night at 8 pm there is a hands on kid show, my boys loved it and actually participated. What a surprise.At 9 pm they have different shows every nightMichael Jackson show was great!There are activities throughout the dayThey had a Mexico day with a mechanical bull, tequila, tamales and an exceptional show in the evening.There is live music every evening,and saw a rock band performing at the adult poolTips:Spirts bar makes excellent coffee and has snacks including fruit bowls.There are few elevators that take you to level 0, for some reason everyone flocks to main one. Never waited longer than 1 minute for a rideAll rooms have view! And you can listen to live music from your balcony.Bring money for tips -and tip for great service generously.Bring sunscreen and all the pool toys you want.Our air conditioning was on point. My husband is a polar bear and he was happy with our freezing room. There are blankets in the closet if you need them. Kids and I did.Cons:-This is an older hotel - but very clean-No room service-No shampoo/conditioner (there is a grocery store nearby 25 pesos for taxi ride)-Beds are not the hardest one I slept on, but they are hard. They have mattress tops on them, but they are still very firm. If you want more pillows just call and ask. Pillows are small.-Pacific Ocean is strong and fast.I wouldn't recommend letting your kids in there by themselves.Overall - kids don't want to leave and neither do I. I can see us coming here for a week of no dishes, no cleaning, good food, sun and beautiful beach and pool.Oh and we left our stuff at the pool multiple times to run to Flamingo for nachos and ice cream - nothing ever went missing.Our cell phones,room key , cash - hakuna matata!

This hotel is one of three riu hotels. It goes: Vallarta, Clubhouse, and Palace. This one was fine with everything but the room. My room's floor had chipped tiles, the bed had stains of something unidentifiable, the bathroom reeked of bad plumbing, and the entire room smelled Lysol.The food was EXCELLENT, and I can't stress how good it was, being the Mexican food lover I am. The parties in the main area of the entire resort were very entertaining.The room service was SO GOOD, their patience, their work ethic, everything that they did seemed to the benefit of the guest. They were probably the only people who didn't ask for a tip and got it in the entire country of Mexico. I once walked in on the people doing room service, and they didn't even mind my presence! They were excellent and honest people.Pretty good resort, but I would only recommend people that are coming on a budget.

Overall I gave a two-star rating because it was not a horrible hotel.Pros- Hotel staff was friendly and attentive despite the language barrier, our rooms were mostly clean and the air conditioning worked great in them as well. The "all-inclusive" aspect was great if you like to drink alcohol and the mini fridge in the room was well stocked with beer, soda, and water at all times.Cons- Like I said the alcohol part of the "all-inclusive" stay was great, but the food was mediocre at best. Unfortunately, 5 out of 8 in our party fell I'll with food poisoning after eating at the buffet all at differing times. There were birds flying in and out of the restaurant and landing near food and on utensils. The activities that we thought would be included such as snorkeling, kayaking, etc. were not included and the cost to do any sort of activity was outrageous.If you are used to a 5-star hotel accommodation, do not stay here. If you don't mind suspicious foods, and like to live your life a little dangerous and sketchy, go for it 🤷‍♀️

Hotel Riu was good; nothing spectacular but for sure a reasonably priced, good for an entry-level, family or just beach bum getaway. Spacious rooms, access to the beach, 2 pools, lots of areas to sit in the sun. Lovely landscaped areas around the resort. The food was good, the indoor buffet was better than the one they had outside for our trip, and the al a carte restaurants were okay. Recommend trying out each once and seeing what your preference is. Coffee maker in the room but you have to ask for sugar/cream, spoons if you need them. Nothing except soap in the rooms so bring your own travel sized moisturizer, etc. Walls are pretty thin, so if you are someone who goes to bed a little earlier, consider asking for a room which does not face into the centre court, music goes until about 11 in that area as the theatre/entertainment is right there, and so is the largest bar. Can't swim after 9 PM, unless you take your own risk in the ocean instead of the pool. Beach was very quiet in the evening when we were there, good place to just sit out and enjoy listening to the waves and checking out the stars.

This was a great place! You should come here for sure! It's a great place for your child. The maids make towel animals that your child can hug with, the place is great for every child, the events are amazing, the pool is spectacular, you should come to this wonderful hotel! If you get too warm, bars are all around the place. There even is a swim up bar in one of the pools! In the kid pool, there is 3 waterslides that you can slide down! But enough with the pools, the places that have food are AMAZING! (I really recommend Don Raphael!) This place is just.. Amazing. You should go here! You'll have a great time, trust me!

It has been awhile since I stayed but I wanted to share my photos and opinions.I feel that this is a solid option if you are into all inclusive hotel stays.I want to be honest and say that they are not usually my first choice, I like smaller charming hotels in Mexico.However when I am travelling in certain groups they are the best fit for activities and dining options for everyone.I was actually the most impressed by this hotel in an all inclusive aspect of any I have stayed.The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed.The view from room 7066 was great and the elevators gave quick service when I didn't want to take the stairs.The pool game remains the same at all large hotels.... you have to save chairs if you want to get a spot together with your group in a good spot. I would rather not fight the fight and just go to the beach, but if you do want a spot by the pool you are going to have to get there early.Once at the pool, the service for drinks was excellent - we couldn't drink as fast as they were being offered.Food was fairly good, lots of good options and variety in the buffet and several sit down service options as well.There were activities all day long if you are into that as well - I didn't do any of the activities.Nightly entertainment was pretty good also - again hard to get a good spot though, so get there early if you want a good seat.Entertainment wise I wish this hotel would have had some more bands and dancing somewhere other than the early performances in the plaza area .The beach here is a real selling point - if you like to walk the beach you can walk for miles and miles and work off some of those buffet calories!Another positive is if you have a late flight, the hotel will hold your bags and you can enjoy the hotel all day and before leaving for the airport they have a courtesy shower and changing room. Overall I did enjoy this hotel and if I was looking for another all inclusive option I would likely return.

The staff are what made my holiday! The hotel is scraping a 3 star it's dark very humid with no air being circulated with the dozens of roof fans. The hotel is in need of major work the roof leaks anywhere and everywhere you had to be very careful as the floors were so slippery. The food was ok for 1 week but was very repetitive and there was always flies over the cold meats and salads. The staff were so welcoming and when trying to learn Spanish they helped with that. The rooms air con was very old as it rattled most of the time but otherwise basic and clean which is all you want on holidays. Cleaners helped wherever they could. I had an issue with the shower and once reported this was fixed within an hour, well impressed with that.So basically the staff are literally holding that hotel together and should be praised for how they manage with such a run down hotel! Beware that there is not much public transport so if you want to explore this is not the place as you have to get taxis everywhere, they are not cheap either!!

You need to experience the place for yourself. The food in all 4 restaurants is superb through the week. If you cannot find something to your taste then there is something seriously wrong with the food you eat at home. The excursions are not the cheapest but when you see what you get for your money is great. The staff is just great from the time you arrive to the hotel to the time you leave. Don't be stingy, do give out a few tips. A little goes a long way, specially for these hard working genuine not pretentious servers. It is totally the opposite to what you get in the UK. Anyway, try TUI. You will not regreat spending £1200 to max £1500 for a week all inclusive of 3 excursions and tips.

Real Mexican type of hotel. The services are amazing food is very good. Even a fussy eater can find something nice. Yes the hotel needs a little face-lift especially the bathrooms but otherwise it is a very beautiful place to spend a week or two.There is a small safe in every room. Enough for money passports and jewellery. The housekeeping changed our bed every day.The staff was very happy to help.

I love staying at Riu resorts! The staff here is friendly and accommodating.The rooms and facilities are clean. This was my first time to the west coast of Mexico. The beach is beautiful with mountains in the background. I'm more of a Caribbean person so I most likely will not go back, however I have no complaints! If you are looking for a family friendly place to stay go here.

The resort was beautiful, extremely clean, food great and staff very pleasant and friendly. My reason for the rating is how they dealt with a room break in from our wedding group. I would suggest to ensure you don't have a room on the ground floor. Someone punched the lock and took anything of value that wasn't in the safe. The safe is far too small too put things like clothes and shoes and bags in. The hotel hasn't been helpful so far with this and have been accusatory in the dealings. Another room a few days later also had someone attempt to punch the lock but they were unsuccessful thankfully. We've gone to Riu resorts in different locations over the years and they've been great but a concern of safety was very prominent here and they need to do better in preventing it and dealing with it when it happens.

Stayed here for 2wks with my husband and my 8yr old daughter and 2yr old son at the start of the school holidays this year (2018).Although the hotel could do with an update, we had an excellent time, and could find no fault.We have stayed in Riu hotels before so know what you get for your money and how they work etc.This Riu was brilliant for all the family and compared to others, this Riu's was better in many ways.The food was always hot and fresh, and the choice was very impressive. The entertainment team was very good. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was of a very high standard. Even at 11pm at night cleaners were still seen in the main public areas.Pools were kept clean and there was always enough sunbeds for everyone.Staff were always friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Will definitely be making a return to this hotel.

El hotel es muy bonito, el personal es muy amable. Cuidan muy bien los protocolos de higiene. El único inconveniente que tuvimos es que quisimos extender el horario de salida y nolo permitieron en recepción.

Instalaciones muy muy bien, habitaciones un poco pequeñas pero cabes bien, comida perfecta, bebidas su punto débil ya que aguas, limonada y refrescos son de maquina y a saben bastante artificial.

En mi estadía en este hotel que dice ser de lujo, nos hospedamos mi familia y yo, y todos los días sonaba la alarma que te decía que tenías que salir de la habitación. Entre las 6 y 7 de la mañana. El personal del hotel no respondía preguntas y se metían a las oficinas ya cuando los huéspedes estaban en la recepción.

Pésima todo horrible la comida el trato de la gente del hotel y además me cocharon mi coche en el estacionamiento ya cuando iba saliendo me di cuenta nadie me resolvió nada y aparte la comida con una mosca pegada una muy mala experiencia para un hotel 5 estrellas y eso que el riu para mi era lo mejor
