This hotel is an experience by it self. If you are able, you should stay in the palace (not the new hotel). The rooms are huge. Check the photos and the videos. I stayed in the garden view room. You go there to enjoy the hotel! The pool, the room, the garden, the Nile views.

Yes, the price is high. The hotel is something else, its history and the best hotel in Egypt. Old with modern twists this hotel brings history back to life. The staff are second to none and you will not get any better hospital and care anywhere else in Egypt. Our honeymoon was special here with many little my special surprises. Made the trip special.

We had a wonderful time staying in the Old Cataract hotel. The staff were very helpful. The views from the dining porch were amazing, esp during the sunsets. The food was nutritious and delicious. We would love to come back with family.

This hotel is wow, amazing and a true treat. From the setting to the interior you will feel you have walked into a different world! After a lovely swim, we had a feast in the restaurant for dinner. The bedrooms are as big as a small apartment with amazing views and all the amenities you will need. Wish we could have stayed longer.

As a solo traveler, I spent 4 days 3 nights in the hotel, I wanted to thank all the teams for their welcome and more precisely Hussein the waiter of the restaurant. Hussein is a natural person, who loves life and his city which he described to me so wonderfully. I hope very soon to be able to come back to see him again. A big thank you to all.

This hotel is incredible. It's expensive to stay but I'm so glad that my wife and I stretched the purse strings to stay a few nights here at the end of a Nile cruise. We booked a Nile view room with a terrace and spent much of our time sat there soaking up the view which is breathtaking. The hotel itself has so much bygone style and charm and the service is impeccable.

This is hands-down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect, starting from check-in, where they upgraded our room category. They took excellent care of us the whole time we were here. One time, my girlfriend got sick (from heatstroke; we were traveling Aswan in June, which, in retrospect, might not have been the best idea), and they called us a doctor, as well as providing us food for her to recover at no cost whatsoever. The GM of the hotel even took us to a doctor, and drove us around to pharmacies in his personal car. This customer service was truly extraordinary. I wish it were possible to give a sixth star to this hotel if I could in order to show my appreciation. Our experience at this hotel was truly above and beyond. We would gladly return whenever possible.

You can feel like Agatha Christie herself in this 5/6* Grand hotel. As a non resident you can get an entrance voucher for £15 (Feb 2020) which you can then spend on food and drink. You will get an intro to the Hotel giving its history and be treated to the most spectacular views over the Nile watching traditional Felluccas sailing up and down. This is an exceptional hotel that should be highly rated. The service of each department from arrival to departure is exceptionally detailed with confidance and pleasure. Smiling staff that is designed to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable. Each question that was asked and answered with complete assurance and knowledge and beyond. Rooms were meticulously serviced.the amenities were perfectly chosen. The view is beyond belief. Absolutely delightful stay and I recommended highly .

It's an Amazing place, the interiors are beautiful and the decorations are perfectly nice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It has a perfect view and great facilities. The rooms are lovely and are very spacious. What a beautiful place to visit, it's relaxing and peaceful. My mom, sister and I really enjoyed. It's excellent.
