“Very disappointed with Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver BC! The last few times we stayed here the lobby, lounge and raw bar were full of people, mostly locals and we didn’t have a place to sit. The hostess didn’t seem to care that we are the hotel’s guests and didn’t try to accommodate us. We were told there’s no room and had to leave. Not what we expect from a five star hotel! They should try harder to accommodate the hotel’s guests who are entitled to the hotel’s amenities.
Also on the weekend the lounge is very loud and feels more like a night club than a five star hotel!
We were also disappointed with the decorations before Christmas which were very limited. The lounge and main lobby were full of plastic plants and flowers. Not attractive at all. It looked more like a Michael’s Store.
And the outdoor jacuzzi is very small and anytime we wanted to go it was full of people.
Very unpleasant stay overall and it didn’t happen for the first time.
An upscale Hotel like Fairmont should put more effort into making sure the hotel’s guests are satisfied and have a good experience while staying here.
We are hopeful that things will improve and we will be able to return and have a more positive experience next time.”

“Absolute amazing service, food, cocktails and live entertainment. I’ve been now twice in a row, my first server James was absolutely incredible & Katie was spectacular too. Laura and Sharlene the hosts were super warm and accommodating as well. All the service of a 5 star… none of the pretension. Well done, thanks for making me feel completely welcome and valued!”
