Check in was easy, and the front desk gentleman was very knowledgeable. Our room was very nice, and the view was incredible (lake view). There was much to see at Stone Mountain, and the area was gorgeous. We felt safe and secluded at Atlanta Evergreen. The restaurant was delicious. You will be paying for breakfast, but there is also a Starbucks on site. I’d absolutely stay here again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They seem to really enjoy working at this resort. The Starbucks in the lobby has delicious fresh fruit and great service. Our room was very far from the elevators, but it is an older hotel, but a 2nd elevator would have been helpful. Our room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfortable with lots of pillows and extra sheets and fluffy comforter . We had plenty of coffee in the room as well as tea . I added sugar and Ice to the hot tea and it made a delicious iced tea ! The view was of the lake and woods. I enjoyed my quiet time on the balcony with my coffee. The shower included a clothesline for our raincoats and swimwear to dry out , that was a nice added feature . Also the shower included shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. And that made it nice that we didn't have to use ours ! My son loved the pool and when it was raining we got to use the indoor pool! All the other guest were lovely to be around as well. We will definitely stay here again!

I loved mostly everything about my trip to Atlanta Evergreen. My room was very nice, however the balcony was dirty. The view from the balcony was awesome. The lake and the people on the lake and the sounds of the animals were relaxing. On a sour note, an article of clothing was stolen from my room. I must add on a positive note the food was excellent! I will revisit👍

They never cleaned my room after we asked for them to more than three times!!! That’s completely unacceptable post Covid or not, short staffed or not. We stayed here for 5 days. Each day we walked back into our room we saw our room unclean.Also, floors didn’t looked vacuumed, bathrooms didn’t look clean. Leads me to believe they rarely ever clean their rooms even when no one stays in them.Before you post a meaningless plastic automated generic response apologizing, know that for some one who knows how to tell if a place is clean or not it’s not difficult to come to that conclusion.The staff was fairly friendly, other than that the cleaning and order So unprofessional, and a hotel in luxurious Stone Mountain park should be top notch all the way through. This one is not. It falls back on the general manager of this hotel whoever he or she is. Please do better.

What a lovely resort, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! The location is incomparable, the view of the lake, Stone Mountain in the distance, and a pool deck that overlooks the lake view, it was really lovely! I came from Savannah to Stone Mountain to enjoy a weekend of hiking and biking. If you are an outdoorsman, this resort has everything to enjoy in nature! The staff who checked me in were kind and attentive, especially Alex, who handled my check in and processing. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was very nice, Frey was an absolute darling, and very attentive to her guests. I look forward to staying here again. Rooms were very clean and well kept, and the hotel, while a little dated, is well kept, organized and clean as well.

Beautiful Hotel, severely understaffed. For a resort be prepared to find your own dolly and cart your own luggage. When I say find your own dolly, I mean search the entire resort and floors. Disappointed when I first saw my room. There was something weird about how the bed was made. The fitted sheet looked like it was coming off. I wasn't sure if it was clean or not. There is a coffee maker but no cups including in the bathroom. The tile floor in the entry and bath had not been cleaned in a while. When I walked back to get things from my car I noticed the carpet in the hall had obviously not been vacuumed. Didn't see it when I was looking up at the room numbers searching for my room on my first walk down the endless hall. (I thought she had written room 410 on the room card sleeve,but is was 470. It's a very large hotel and both rooms where way at the end of the building.) I complained about the room to reception and was told they were short if staff. Then, to my surprise housekeeping was knocking on my door in less than 15 min. She was a very nice lady, apologized and shook her head about the bed. Sheets were clean but too small,queen size on a king size bed. We both agreed that it was pretty weird. She made up the bed and offered to clean the floor but I told her not to bother since I was here only 1 night. I did nit use any of the dining facilities so I can't comment on them. Pool looked nice. My room had balcony overlooking the lake. It was very relaxing to sit out there in the evening and watch the kayaks paddle by. Note: Blowdryer was up on the shelf in the back of the closet.

((I am editing to add that after much correspondence with their corporate headquarters we were told that just because you book a certain bed type , that doesn't guarantee you will receive that bed type when checking in. Be warned Marriott doesn't honor your room/bed selection even if you prepay for the room.You may end up in a less expensive room and have to fight for a refund of the difference. )) Let me start by saying this could easily be a 4-5 star resort but they need to put some love and attention into it. When we checked in despite reserving a king room, we were given a queen room. We were told they overbooked. Well if I've paid in advance , which I had, you should have the room I reserved at 6pm. We took the queen as it was all they had. It was a handicap room which we were not told until we reached the room. We found the shower head broken and the door lock to the patio broken. So we went back to ask for a room with working showers and patio doors. Given another queen room. This one also had a broken shower head. But by then we were too tired to go back and move again. The floors in the bathroom weren't very clean, spotted badly. The shower head was broken. The patio and furniture hadn't been cleaned in years from the looks of it. The stairwells and outside were littered. Three calls to the front desk over two days to get towels and toilet paper. The Starbucks in the lobby was nice but not open the advertised hours. The view is lovely, the area is beautiful. The hotel isn't well managed and the staff needs more training. Maintenance isn't doing its job, or at least can't keep up. I wanted to love this hotel, but it needs attention badly.
