We checked out on Nov 8 , 2021 from Holiday inn Sarasota Lido Beach, FL The nice view and location was all ruined by the hotel housekeeping who stole a wedding band and 2 other gold rings at checkout from the bathroom amenity tray and general manager Kym did not help or assist in any way to interrogate the housekeeper who cleaned our room and try to recover the valuable jewelry. We checked out and the housekeeper was the one who entered the room immediately after we left the room, because she knocked on our door, we had requested late checkout and she rushed us to enter the room and clean it, so we saw her going into the room. How can you give good feedback to a hotel where employees steal from your room? This ruined our whole otherwise good experience and vacation. General manager , unwilling to help in any way either to recover our jewelry or investigate and interrogate housekeeper who cleaned our room at checkout when it was so obvious who stole the jewelry...can check security cameras and see who went into our room right after checkout. Plus they know for sure which housekeeper cleaned the room at checkout. We filed a police report and contacted Corporate IHG also, but they keep saying that the hotel is a franchise and they cannot help either?! Outrageous!!! So, the hotel is on the IHG website, you can earn and redeem IHG points there, but has nothing to do with IHG?!? According to IHG they are just using the IHG logos....wow...I'm sorry but this is an absurd and just plain lame explanation! Shame on IHG as well!!! As Platinum Elite IHG member we stay in many IHG properties and this has never happened before, but apparently employees at this location can't be trusted at all. We demanded an investigation, they said they followed their protocols, but no help and nothing has been recovered so far from the general manager Kym or any of the housekeeping employees or housekeeping manager. Shame on these people !!! IHG is no help at all either. This is the worst ever experience we had in many years being loyal Platinum Elite IHG members. Stay there at your own risk knowing that they have thieves and liars among the housekeeping employees. And think twice about staying in any IHG properties, since their corporate is not willing to help or compensate you in any way if items were stolen from your own hotel room.

Him: The hotel as a whole was very nice and up to date. Our view was magnificent and the hotel's location was unbeatable. Cons, the mattress was due for replacement, and the bathroom was extremely small and almost no water pressure and the shower head was perfect for someone under 5 feet tall. Her:

Our second stay here, both incredibly good. The physical plant is showing age a little but they keep it clean and service is second to none. The pool and poolside bar have views of the beach and Gulf. In addition to good service at the front desk and fro housekeeping, our favorites are the ladies in the poolside bar. They made our stay there fun with pleasant service, good drinks and good conversation. The drinks are strong. They stayed late a few times when we showed up at the last minute so that we could get drinks for the room. We made sure to tip them for that extra effort and hope you would too. Across the street from the beach and 5 minutes to St. Armand's Circle and it's boutiques and great restaurants. Can't say enough positive things. We'll be back there.

We were there for a "girlfriend's getaway" 2 weeks ago. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days. Right across from the beach, but I enjoyed the beautiful pool more. The staff was always friendly and acomodating, especially Jayme. We made good use of the lobby, playing games in the evenings. We got there early and they let us check in. Highly recommend it.

I will absolutely be staying here again. Not only is this hotel perfectly situated across from the beach, but their service was top notch! Jayme made our stay exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It's good to know that outstanding service is not dead!

Beautifully and conveniently situated hotel steps from a silk-sand beach. Staff at Holiday Inn Sarasota-Lido Beach we’re pleasant, professional, and helpful, especially Carlos, Paul, a young woman I didn’t get the name of, and an energetic bartender Michelle (I believe). The entire property was clean and well maintained. Our generously-sized king room balcony overlooked pretty homes on the canal in the interior of the island. As we don’t usually stay in a hotel for an entire week, we were happy to have a comfy sofa and unobtrusive dining table in the room. Would be a perfect arrangement for remote working. So wish I were still doing that! Bedding was clean and comfy and the TV was LARGE. Small fridge was tucked into a buffet style dresser with 3 drawers. Amazing views from the seventh floor breakfast room. Lobby coffee was surprisingly good and available 24/7. We spent several hours in the lobby watching storms break over the Gulf. We’re already thinking about returning to this beautiful beach and hotel next year.
